The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has scheduled Saturday, June 13, 2026, for the conduct of the mop-up Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), according to Channels Television.
The mop-up exercise is designed for candidates who were unable to sit the 2026 UTME despite being biometrically verified during the main examination period.
In a statement issued by JAMB spokesperson Fabian Benjamin, the board said the examination will cater for candidates who encountered technical challenges and other disruptions during the main exercise held between April 23 and April 29, 2026.
JAMB also confirmed that some results were withdrawn due to examination malpractice, while others were affected by biometric verification failures.
The board stated that all eligible candidates have already been included in the mop-up list.
According to the statement, the mop-up examination represents the final phase of the 2026 UTME process, offering affected candidates a last opportunity to complete the examination cycle.
Candidates have been advised to begin printing their examination notification slips from Saturday, June 6, 2026, ahead of the test date.
JAMB warned that there will be no further opportunity to sit the 2026 UTME after the mop-up exercise.
The board further noted that more than two million candidates participated in the main 2026 UTME, with results already released and cut-off marks maintained at 150 for universities and 100 for polytechnics.
The board also confirmed that its portal remains open for candidates seeking changes to their course or institution, as part of the ongoing admission process.
