Wema Bank has renewed its role as headline sponsor of Fashion Souk 2026, reaffirming its commitment to supporting entrepreneurs, women-owned businesses and small and medium-scale enterprises (SMEs).
The bank said Fashion Souk remains an important platform for business owners, creatives and entrepreneurs to showcase products, connect with customers, expand professional networks and grow their businesses.
According to Wema Bank, its partnership with Fashion Souk has delivered significant economic benefits, particularly for SMEs and women-led enterprises. Data from the 2025 editions of the exhibition showed that the bank helped facilitate more than ₦1.5 billion in SME revenue across the June and December events held in Lagos.
A total of 315 businesses participated in the two 2025 editions, with female-led enterprises accounting for more than 90 per cent of exhibitors.
The bank noted that these figures highlight its ongoing efforts to promote women’s economic empowerment and strengthen Nigeria’s SME ecosystem, a sector widely regarded as a key driver of economic growth.
Building on the success of previous editions, Wema Bank said Fashion Souk 2026 will feature two editions, creating additional opportunities for participating businesses to access new markets, improve brand visibility, attract customers and expand operations.
The lender added that the initiative aligns with its broader strategy of promoting entrepreneurship, economic inclusion and sustainable business growth, particularly among women-owned businesses and emerging brands.
Fashion Souk has grown into a major platform connecting businesses with consumers while encouraging innovation and collaboration across Nigeria’s fashion, beauty, lifestyle and creative sectors.
Through its continued sponsorship, Wema Bank said it aims to deepen support for entrepreneurs and contribute to the growth of Nigeria’s vibrant SME sector.
