The North-West chapter of the All Progressives Congress has unveiled plans to intensify voter mobilisation across the region as it prepares for the 2027 general elections and President Bola Tinubu’s re-election campaign.
According to Channels Television, the decision was reached during a meeting of the party’s zonal leadership at its headquarters in Kaduna, where members reviewed the political landscape and outlined strategies for the next election cycle.
A statement issued by the APC North-West Zonal Publicity Secretary, Musa Mada, said the region remains a key political stronghold for the ruling party, noting that it delivered significant support for Tinubu during the 2023 presidential election. The party expressed confidence that it could improve on that performance in 2027.
As part of its preparations, the APC said it would embark on a tour of the seven North-West states to engage stakeholders, strengthen grassroots structures and identify practical measures to consolidate support ahead of the polls.
The party also described it as a historic milestone that all seven North-West states are currently governed by the APC, saying the development reinforces the region’s strategic importance to the party.
The zonal leadership commended Kaduna State Governor Uba Sani for donating a utility vehicle to support party activities and praised APC governors across the region for sustaining the operations of the zonal headquarters.
It also acknowledged the contributions of Deputy Senate President Barau Jibrin, Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas, ministers and other political officeholders from the North-West for supporting both the Tinubu administration and the party.
The APC urged its leaders and members to maintain the momentum as preparations for the 2027 general elections gather pace.
