In a congratulatory message on the occasion of Eid-El-Maulud, the Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), Chief Dr. George Moghalu, extends greetings to Nigerians especially Muslims, rejoicing with them on the auspicious occasion marking the birth of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him), commemorated on every 12th of Rabi’ul Awwal of the Islamic calendar.

In a statement marking the celebration, Dr. Moghalu noted that the occasion is another opportunity to reflect on the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) who left a lasting legacy of peace, love, charity and peaceful coexistence; urging Muslims not to spend the occasion on festivities alone, but to spend the moment in deep reflection and introspection on the current realities before the country.

“I wish all Muslims a happy and memorable celebration of the birth of the great Prophet, whose teachings particularly on peaceful living, tolerance, sobriety, generosity, sacrifice and honesty, will continue to resonate.

While wishing Muslims a happy celebration, Chief Dr George Moghalu prays that all the blessings that go with such a memorable day will accrue onto them.
