Bride calls off wedding on eve to D-Day over husband’s choice of church

Bride cancels her wedding one day to the event, claiming she cannot marry in her husband’s church.

The incident was reported to have occurred in Plateau State.

According to a report made on Facebook by Plateau Watch, the couple were meant to get married on Saturday, 5th April 2025.

On the 4th of April, while the balls were already rolling ahead of the event, the lady reportedly ran away, claiming that she cannot marry a COCIN church member.

Breaking: Update reaching me, coming out of Anguldi, Zawan, is that a bride has called off her wedding yesterday Night!

The wedding was scheduled to hold today, Saturday.

Grooms men are lodged in a Hotel just before Grand Cereals, and the Brides maids are currently at the COCIN Pastorium, but wife to be don move🤦🤦

Her flimsy excuse is that she doesn’t want to get married to a COCIN member… Ahhhhh!!!

For relationship of over 3yrs and you Allowed him to make preparations plus expenses?

This is totally inhumane and Unacceptable to the young man…

I don’t think anybody deserves this humiliation at all.

The government also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening national security, improving public safety and creating an environment where citizens can live and work with confidence. Tinubu to Address Nigerians President Bola Tinubu is expected to deliver a nationwide broadcast on Thursday as part of activities marking the 66th Independence Anniversary. The President returned to Lagos on Tuesday after concluding his working vacation in Europe and is expected to spend the Independence celebrations in the state. He is also expected to attend the premiere of a documentary on the late businessman and politician, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Lagos. According to the Presidency, Tinubu is further expected to hold political meetings in Lagos as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue. Nigeria at 66 Nigeria gained independence from British colonial rule on October 1, 1960, with Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa becoming the country’s first Prime Minister. The country became a republic in 1963, with Nnamdi Azikiwe serving as its first President. Nigeria later experienced periods of military rule and the Civil War before returning to constitutional democracy in 1999.
