The 40-year-old broadcaster shared the news on her Instagram page on Thursday, posting a series of heartfelt messages that detailed her journey into motherhood.

She described the experience as the pinnacle of her happiness and a testament to God’s answered prayers.

“I’m a Mommy. This is the happiest I’ve ever been. My precious daughter, the love I never knew existed, my heart in another human being, my love,” she wrote.

“I have seen the goodness of God in my life time, I have seen God move and I no longer just hear of it, I see it. It ended in praise, My miracle is here.

“Yakira Eliana, Olakitan, lyanuoluwa, Ikeoluwa, Adunola.

“My purpose, my reason, my evidence. Thank you for choosing me, thank you for making me a Mother.

“My hearts overflows with so much gratitude God heard, God answered.

“Every single detail, down to your fingers and toes oh he heard my prayers.

“Meet my Miracle, Yakira Eliana – Precious, Beloved – of great worth, My God has answered.”

Following the announcement, congratulatory messages from fans, friends, and colleagues began flooding her Instagram comment section.

The father of the child however remains unknown.

Makinwa married her longtime partner Maje Ayida in 2014.

However, their union was short-lived, ending in 2015 after allegations of infidelity. Their divorce was finalized in 2017.

In a recent revelation from April, Makinwa said she “does not mind being a second, third, fourth, or even fifth wife”.
