SERAP has urged an FCT High Court in Maitama to dismiss the N5.5bn defamation suit filed by two DSS officials over claims of an “unlawful invasion” of its Abuja office.

The officials insist the publication damaged their reputation and are seeking damages and a public apology. SERAP argues the statement mentioned only the DSS as an institution, not the officers personally.

Justice Yusuf Halilu has reserved judgment.
