AEDC announces fresh blackout in Abuja

Abuja Electricity Distribution Company, AEDC, has announced a fresh outage in parts of the nation’s capital, Abuja.

The disco disclosed this in a notice on Saturday through its X account.

AEDC blamed the outage on a technical fault.

The outage affected several areas in Abuja, including Amazon Street, Lephalala Street, Ganges Street and Panama Street, parts of Danube Street, and Osun Crescent.

Other areas affected by the blackout are Rhine Street, Urban Shelter Katampe and Living Faith Church Katampe, Jahi Village, Katampe Extension, Jahi by Gilmore, and environs.

“We regret to inform you that the power outage affecting your area is due to a technical fault,” the notice stated.

Meanwhile, the Disco did not state when power supply will be restored to the affected areas.

Gong-news gathered that outside the above-named areas, AMSSCO estate in Galadimawa has been out of power supply for three days.
