US rapper Cardi B has addressed growing speculation linking her romantically with Super Eagles goalkeeper Maduka Okoye, following their recent public appearances together in Europe.

The rumours began after the pair were seen together during Paris Fashion Week in France, where Okoye, 26, was photographed assisting the 33-year-old rapper to her seat. They later fuelled further speculation after being spotted having dinner with friends at Gio’s restaurant inside The St. Regis hotel in Venice, Italy, before reportedly watching a fireworks display with the same group.

The speculation intensified after Jelicia Westhoff, Okoye’s former partner and the mother of his son, publicly accused the Nigerian international of being an absentee father.

Speaking during a recent X Spaces session, Cardi B addressed the situation without mentioning Okoye by name or confirming any romantic relationship.

Instead, she reflected on the challenges of dating men who have previous relationships, saying that conflicts involving former partners are often unavoidable.

The Grammy-winning rapper said she would not remain single forever and suggested that dating someone with an ex-partner often comes with complications. She also recalled past experiences involving former partners of men she had dated, saying similar situations had occurred throughout her dating life.

Cardi B neither confirmed nor denied the rumours surrounding her and Okoye, leaving the nature of their relationship unclear.

The comments come days after the pair attracted widespread attention following their appearance together in Venice.
