Nigeria’s Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (Rtd), has dismissed reports claiming he resigned from office, describing the speculation as false.

Speaking to State House correspondents after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Musa said he had neither considered nor discussed stepping down from his position.

The Defence Minister attributed the rumours to individuals dissatisfied with the progress being made in tackling Nigeria’s security challenges.

“I have not resigned, nor have I contemplated resigning,” he said, dismissing the reports as baseless.

The clarification comes amid speculation circulating on social media about his alleged resignation.

Channels Television, the originating news source, published a video of Musa addressing journalists after his meeting with President Tinubu, where he firmly denied the claims.
