Urgent search as two men go missing after trip from Lagos to Imo

Concern is mounting over the mysterious disappearance of two men, Odu Emmanuel Odu and Eja Ndifon Vincent, both aged 32, who vanished after a trip from Lagos to Imo State.

The pair, who reportedly travelled to Lagos to collect a newly purchased vehicle, were last heard from on Friday when they confirmed arrival in Imo State. Since then, their phones have remained switched off and attempts to reach them have failed.

Odu Emmanuel Odu is a lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), while Eja Ndifon Vincent works as a counsellor in Odukpani, Cross River State.

Their sudden disappearance has sparked widespread concern among family members, friends, and the public. A missing persons alert has since circulated on social media, urging anyone with relevant information to come forward.

Descriptions provided identify Odu Emmanuel as fair-complexioned and Eja Vincent as dark-complexioned.

The government also reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening national security, improving public safety and creating an environment where citizens can live and work with confidence. Tinubu to Address Nigerians President Bola Tinubu is expected to deliver a nationwide broadcast on Thursday as part of activities marking the 66th Independence Anniversary. The President returned to Lagos on Tuesday after concluding his working vacation in Europe and is expected to spend the Independence celebrations in the state. He is also expected to attend the premiere of a documentary on the late businessman and politician, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola, at the Wole Soyinka National Theatre in Lagos. According to the Presidency, Tinubu is further expected to hold political meetings in Lagos as preparations for the 2027 general elections continue.
