Former First Lady Aisha Buhari has visited former Vice-President and 2027 African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Atiku disclosed the meeting in a post on his X account, describing the visit as “warm and deeply appreciated”.
According to the former vice-president, the meeting also underscored the responsibility of those seeking a better Nigeria to prioritise the welfare and future of citizens.
Atiku said families across the country were facing growing pressure from the rising cost of essential goods and services, including food, transportation, education and healthcare.
He said Nigerians deserved an economy that creates opportunities, rewards hard work and enables families to live with dignity and hope.
Atiku added that addressing the challenges facing Nigerians would require collective efforts to ease economic pressures and restore hope.
The meeting comes as political activities and alignments ahead of the 2027 presidential election continue to develop.
