Arsenal F.C. have ended their 22-year wait for a league crown after sealing the Premier League title following Manchester City F.C.’s 1-1 draw away to AFC Bournemouth on Tuesday.

The result confirmed Arsenal as champions with one game to spare, bringing an end to a three-season run of second-place finishes under manager Mikel Arteta. It also ends the north London club’s six-year trophy drought.

According to Channels Television, citing AFP, Arsenal moved to the brink of the title after a narrow 1-0 win over Burnley F.C. on Monday, opening a five-point gap over City before their rivals dropped points at the Vitality Stadium.

Bournemouth took the lead in the 39th minute through teenager Eli Junior Kroupi, whose curling finish gave the hosts control and set a new Premier League scoring record for a teenager in a debut season.

City, managed by Pep Guardiola, struggled to respond despite recent momentum from their FA Cup Final 2026 victory over Chelsea F.C.. Erling Haaland scored a stoppage-time equaliser, but it was too late to keep the title race alive.

The title triumph marks Arsenal’s first Premier League success since 2004 and caps a campaign in which Arteta’s side recovered strongly after a crucial defeat to City last month, winning four straight league games without conceding.

The result also confirmed Bournemouth’s first-ever qualification for European football, with Andoni Iraola’s side guaranteed at least a place in next season’s Europa League.
