Offa Robbery: Appeal Court Confirms Death Sentence for Five

The Ilorin court of appeal has upheld the death sentences of five men convicted over the 2018 Offa bank robbery that claimed 33 lives, dismissing all appeals against the 2024 high court judgment.

Friday’s ruling effectively brings an end to the legal challenge against the conviction and sentence, reinforcing the lower court’s verdict.
