Top Nigerian political and business figures gathered in Lagos on Thursday for the burial service of Anthony Adeosun, husband of former Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun.
The service was held at the Redeemed Christian Church of God, City of David, Trinity Towers, Victoria Island.
Anthony, a businessman, died on August 5, 2026, aged 62, according to a family statement signed by Rev. C. A. Adeosun.
Among those who attended the service were former Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and his wife, former Lagos State Governor Babatunde Fashola, former Ekiti State Governor Kayode Fayemi and Florence Ajimobi, wife of the late Oyo State Governor, Abiola Ajimobi.

Also present were former President of the African Development Bank, Akinwumi Adesina, and the Executive Chairman of the Nigeria Revenue Service, Dr Zacch Adedeji.
The family described Anthony as a devoted Christian who positively impacted the lives of those around him.
He is survived by his wife, Kemi, his children and siblings, including Adewale Adeosun, founder of Kuramo Capital.
Following the church service, the family proceeded with a private burial for the deceased.
