Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State has approved close to ₦1 billion for the settlement of outstanding entitlements owed to judiciary workers, according to The Guardian Nigeria.
The announcement was made during a meeting with the leadership of the Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria (JUSUN), Kaduna State branch, at the Sir Kashim Ibrahim House. Discussions focused on strengthening state institutions and addressing outstanding labour obligations within the judiciary sector.
Governor Sani said the approval formed part of his administration’s efforts to promote fairness, responsibility and respect for workers, despite ongoing fiscal pressures affecting state finances. The payment is intended to clear arrears owed to judiciary staff.
The move is positioned within broader reforms aimed at improving industrial relations and restoring confidence in public service administration in the state.
