Natasha Osawaru Idibia, wife of Nigerian music star 2Baba, has declared her ambition to become Nigeria’s president someday.
The Edo State lawmaker made the declaration while celebrating the 92nd birthday of her grandfather, Gabriel Igbinedion, in Benin City.
In a video from the ceremony that has gone viral, Natasha praised her grandfather and expressed her affection for him before promising to pursue the country’s highest political office during his lifetime.
“You are amazing, you are like my baby right now, I love you so much. As you age, you become sweeter and better. It is so amazing to be around you, grandpa,” she said.
“I promise you that I will be the president of this country before you go.”
Natasha currently represents the Egor constituency in the Edo State House of Assembly and was recently appointed minority leader of the state legislature. She previously described the position as “not a title but a trust”.
Her political declaration comes amid her growing public profile following her marriage to 2Baba in July 2025.
The couple welcomed their first child together and held a dedication ceremony for the child in February.
2Baba has previously maintained that Natasha was not responsible for the breakdown of his previous marriage to Annie Macaulay Idibia.
