Academic activities at Western Delta University, Oghara, in Delta State, were momentarily disrupted on Thursday following the invasion of suspected armed robbers into the university campus.

Reporters gathered that the hoodlums gained entry through an unfenced perimeter at the rear of the campus, intending to rob students.

Students, upon sensing danger, quickly raised the alarm and sought safety in nearby areas.

The timely intervention by the law enforcement agents reportedly prevented any casualties or serious disruption to the university’s operations as the invaders were said to have fled in different directions at sighting the security operatives.
