Two powerful earthquakes that struck Venezuela on June 24 have triggered an outpouring of international support, with governments across the Americas and Europe offering humanitarian aid, rescue teams and medical assistance after the disaster killed at least 32 people and injured more than 700.
According to Channels Television, citing AFP, the twin quakes measuring 7.2 and 7.5 magnitude struck the same region of Venezuela, causing widespread destruction, building collapses and a growing humanitarian emergency.
US Pledges Immediate Support
Donald Trump said the United States was prepared to assist Venezuela following the disaster.
In a message posted on Truth Social, Trump described the earthquakes as “massive in scale” and said he had instructed US government agencies to prepare for a rapid response.
He added that the United States stood “ready, willing, and able to help”.

Meanwhile, El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele said 300 rescuers, paramedics and 50 tonnes of equipment, medicines and essential supplies were ready for deployment to Caracas.

Uruguayan President Yamandú Orsi said his country was willing to assist in any capacity requested by Venezuelan authorities.
Chile’s foreign ministry also expressed solidarity and indicated readiness to provide humanitarian and rescue support if needed.
Ecuador and Costa Rica Join Relief Efforts
Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa ordered the immediate dispatch of humanitarian aid, saying humanitarian concerns should transcend political differences.
Costa Rica’s government issued a message of support to affected families and emergency responders, assuring Venezuelans they were not alone during the crisis.
