Dangote refinery IPO: 32 approved channels to buy shares

Investors seeking to buy shares in the Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals FZE public offer can subscribe through 32 approved banks, fintechs, mobile operators and investment platforms, according to the refinery.

 

The approved channels were published on the refinery’s official IPO website, with investors warned against using unauthorised platforms.

The list comprises 19 banks, 10 fintech companies, two mobile operators and NGX Invest.

The approved banks are Access Bank, Ecobank, FCMB, Fidelity Bank, FirstBank, Globus Bank, GTCO, Jaiz Bank, Keystone Bank, Lotus Bank, PremiumTrust Bank, Providus Bank, Stanbic IBTC, Sterling Bank, TAJ Bank, UBA, Union Bank, Wema Bank and Zenith Bank.

The approved fintech platforms are Bamboo, Flutterwave, InvestNaija, Ladder, Moniepoint, Paga, Payaza, PiggyVest, Vetiva Invest and we.yan.

Investors can also subscribe through Airtel SmartCash and MTN MoMo, while NGX Invest is the approved NGX platform.

The refinery cautioned investors to use only the listed channels.

“Only subscribe through the channels listed on this page. Do not subscribe through any channel not confirmed here,” the company stated.

The Dangote Refinery website currently lists the offer price at ₦525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares, costing ₦5,250.

The public offer is part of the refinery’s plan to raise capital from Nigerian investors through the sale of ordinary shares.

Vice President Kashim Shettima has said only six of the 19 northern governors supported President Bola Tinubu’s presidential ambition during the 2023 election.   Shettima made the disclosure at the palace of the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari, during the turbaning of Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq as the Sardauna of Ilorin Emirate. Shettima recalled the slogan, “Baba bayan sushi,” which he said reflected opposition to Tinubu’s candidacy at the time. Despite the political resistance, the Vice President said Tinubu continued with his presidential bid and eventually secured victory in the 2023 election. Shettima also urged politicians to reconcile after political contests, saying politics should not be treated as a “game of death”. He said Tinubu had embraced and forgiven northern governors who did not support him during the 2023 election, describing this as a demonstration of leadership. The Vice President subsequently urged politicians in Kwara State to close ranks after the All Progressives Congress primaries and emulate what he described as Tinubu’s accommodating approach to political differences. Shettima also spoke about the economic challenges inherited by the Tinubu administration, stating that the Federal Government inherited $3.9 billion in the kitty. He said the administration’s economic team nevertheless continued with its efforts to turn the economy around. The Vice President had earlier inaugurated the state’s Revenue House on Ahmadu Bello Way and a garment factory in Ilorin.
