An aircraft linked to Dunamis International Gospel Centre has been involved in an incident near Asaba, Delta State, after reportedly landing on a road in Ogwashi-Uku area.

The online publication reports that the Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) identified the aircraft as US-registered in the name of the church, led by Pastor Paul Enenche. It was operating under a non-commercial flight (PNCF) permit.

The report states the permit conditions prohibit use for private charter operations, a restriction allegedly breached. The aircraft previously operated under Mounthill Ltd before switching to UMO Ltd, a firm linked to a church member, to obtain regulatory approval.

The NCAA is also said to have arrested the pilot, identified as Chris Baca, a Pakistani national, over allegations of exceeding Nigeria’s pilot age limit. He is reported to be 70 years old, above the permitted threshold for pilots operating in the country.

According to TheCable, preliminary findings suggest the aircraft attempted to land at Asaba airport before executing a missed approach and later ending up on a roadway. No injuries were reported among the four crew members on board.

The NCAA has grounded the aircraft and suspended the operating permit pending investigation. It also indicated that regulatory breaches may lead to prosecution.
